Anchor bolts are bolts that securely fix machinery and equipment to the ground foundation. They mainly consist of a screw rod, nut, and anchor plate (some anchor bolts have this). The screw rod is the main part of the anchor bolt, usually cylindrical, with one end threaded for fastening with the nut; the other end is generally bent, L-shaped, or in other special shapes to better embed into the concrete foundation, increasing the anchoring force with the foundation. The nut is used to tighten, ensuring a close connection between the equipment and the foundation. The anchor plate is a square or round metal plate, which in some anchor bolt designs is welded to the bottom of the screw rod. When the bolt is embedded in the foundation, the anchor plate can increase the contact area with the concrete, further enhancing the anchoring effect.
