Material Characteristics
High-quality steel: Mine car pins are usually made of high-strength quality steel, such as 45# steel. This is because mine cars need to withstand significant tensile, impact, and shear forces in a mining environment. Mine car pins made of quality steel have high strength and toughness, effectively resisting these external forces and preventing breakage during use.
Surface Treatment: To improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of mine car pins, some pins undergo surface treatment. For example, processes such as quenching and galvanizing are used. Quenching can increase the surface hardness of the pin, enhancing its wear resistance; galvanizing can form a protective layer on the pin's surface, preventing corrosion from the surrounding environment (such as humid air, mine water, etc.).

Mine car pins come in various specifications and models, with their sizes mainly determined by the type of mine car and the dimensions of the connection points. Common diameter specifications include φ30mm, φ32mm, φ38mm, etc., while length specifications vary from 100mm to 300mm depending on the specific application scenario. For example, in the connection of small mine cars, a pin with a diameter of φ30mm and a length of 150mm may be used; whereas for large mine cars or areas with higher connection requirements, a pin with a diameter of φ38mm and a length of 300mm may be needed.
Installation and Usage Precautions
Installation Requirements: When installing the mine car pin, ensure that the pin can be smoothly inserted into the pin hole of the connection point and is properly installed. During installation, do not use excessive external force to forcibly insert the pin to avoid damaging the pin or the pin hole. At the same time, check the fit accuracy between the pin and the pin hole, ensuring that the gap between them is within a reasonable range, generally controlled between 0.1 - 0.3mm, which allows the mine car pin to rotate flexibly while preventing looseness.
Inspection During Use: During the use of the mine car, regularly check the condition of the mine car pins. Inspection items include whether the mine car pins are loose, deformed, or worn. If a loose pin is found, it should be tightened promptly; if there is significant deformation or wear (more than 10% of the original diameter), the mine car pin should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid affecting the normal operation of the mine car and causing safety accidents.
